Our flight was delayed from Guernsey, so we took off later than anticipated due to fog. Upon arrival at Gatwick airport we took the Express Train into London. The train was fast and got us into Victoria Station quickly. We took a cab from the station since it was pouring rain. Our cabbie was a really nice gentleman who gave us some great advice about visiting the city and stuff that was around us. He gave us some good info on a mall called Whiteley's that's only a ten minute walk from our hotel.
We took his advice and went to Whiteley's for dinner and a movie! Since we had two hours to kill we ate at an Italian place called Ask Italian. We got a free cookbook and some great authentic pizza before browsing the mall for a bit. Arriving at the the theatre we sat in our luxury reserved seats to await the start of the Avengers. The movie was pretty good and my Mum enjoyed it a lot. It was a bit strange that the theatre was so small, compared to what we have, but it was cosy amd comfy. Heading back to the hotel we walked along Hyde Park ending our evening at the hotel.
