Day 1 - 32 hours

It's so surreal to be able to watch 8 out of 10 Cats on TV, which is what I'm currently doing as it's 9:00pm and I'm knackered.  The flight to Manchester was quick and painless as was getting our Vauxhall Astra. Getting the car out of the car park was relatively easy despite being on the wrong side of the road, the car, and my brain. This created a really weird Alice in Wonderland feeling that made me giggle at one point and terrified me the next minute as I took my first real round-a-bout. Tom-Tom really doesn't like it when the round-a-bout you're supposed to take doesn't exist anymore because the road's been torn up. We did eventually get out of the Manchester Airport and on to the road after several loops of detours. Roads are f&c#ing scary here. I am now used to greenery scraping my windows as I travel a paved goat path with Lorrie's coming at me. But enough of scary driving. I've conquered it lol

Go Ape! was an awesome way to wake up after the flight. The ziplines were amazing as were the Tarzan Swings. Totally awesome way to wake up by swinging through the treetops of Sherwood Forest.

I won't even attempt to describe my experience at Haddon Hall other than it felt as if I'd entered a real live fairy tale. The house simply felt magical and it was so cool to walk around and see the spots where movies, like Jane Eyre, had been filmed.
